A struggling week for selection for the 3s. This saw our 4s Captain and Club Chairman Dave Ducat help us out and make the trip up!
With first having gone to the wrong pitch, (not our fault!) the bare 11 team arrived at Tendering ready to give it there all.
Vice captain Tom Mead making his first league appearance in goal, have trained amazing well in the week, did not disappoint making 2 amazing saves in the first 10 minutes of the game!
The boys quickly got ahead with questionable drag flick from Nick Richardson, quickly followed up by a second goal from the 3s leading goal scorer Vish Mayo. The boys continued to dominate the game through out the first half, leaving them a comfortable 4-0 lead heading into the second half.
A wonderful play from Vish Mayo and Jay Akbar got us another one ahead in the 36th minute. A change of GK was required from them which slowed down the momentum of Crostyx.
The bare 11 eventually tired and conceded, with the final result being 5-3. Still a great performance from the team.
Not only did we have a first league appearance in goal for Tom but we also had a first ever card for Oscar Leel, he enjoyed it so much he decided he wanted another!
The win was well celebrated at Crostyx Oktoberfest that evening, brilliantly arranged by Ben Munson.
MOM went to Oliver Ryan-Martin!!
A nice rest week next week for everyone before we try to defend our 100% home win rate against Rochford on the 2nd November!
