The u16 boys continued their winning start to the season with a convincing win over Southgate despite the absence from several important players.

Southgate started the game stronger of the 2 sides but it was Crostyx who took the lead when Nathan Moscow recovered a poor short corner injection to turn and shoot before Liam Dolden reacted first to put in the rebound.
Southgate responded well and equalised despite the best efforts from Bury and Tedder who attempted to keep the ball out by any means.
It remained 1-1 until half time.

Crostyx broke the deadlock in the 2nd half when Freddie Britt threw an aerial to Ollie Betts whose mid air control on his reverse stick was good enough to take him into the circle. As the keeper rushed out Betts unleashed a reverse stick volley to a difficult bouncing ball to score the goal of the game.

Freddie Britt then scored himself from a short corner routine that saw him sweep a reverse stick onto the backboard.
Then there was a great moment for sub GK Akshay Palaniappan as he swept home from near the penalty spot to give Crostyx a 4-1 lead.
An almost identical incident gave Palaniappan a second goal minutes later to complete the scoring for Crostyx.
