Really good game of hockey for the ladies 3’s versus joint top of the league Wapping 6’s. The score line of 1-1 represented the battle that played out and both teams were evenly matched in terms of skill and pace.

Some great keeping by Anika Mayor kept out any passes that crept through into the circle and she was unlucky up against a very well taken penalty flick from Wapping.

Great performance on the right from Kate Feldman who consistently ran through several players to drive the ball up the pitch. In defence Ruby James was solid at the back showing great determination and the whole defence played a very strong game. Some key performances from Jessie Giles-Brown and Atie Wadsworth up front and if the Wapping keeping hadn’t been so strong the score line would have looked differently for us.

Midway through the season we lie in top position and hope to reach Christmas in the same place.
