Crostyx were set up well for a good game against 'the club up the road'.

Although OL were currently lying in bottom position in the division without a win under their belts, we knew they would put out a stronger team this week. We started hard with some impressive forward play by Emily moss and Atie wadsworth, getting some strong attempts on goal and an early short corner.

OL fought back but failed to keep play out of our attaching third and on our second short corner minutes before half time a push from Justine Baker over to Juliet drake saw the back of the goal. Juliet our current highest goal scorer added another one to her list. The second half was fraught with frustration on both sides as neither team finished off several attempts at goal. Crostyx defence came under real pressure and good performances by Teni Odugbesan, Sarah Gillett, Juliet Drake and India Shepperson and our first time GK Hana kept OL from gaining anything on the score line.

Hana prevented any direct strikes on goal demonstrating great skill and ability as another great example of a Ccrostyx junior coming through the club. Another strong defensive performance by Crostyx 3’a who now sit in the upper end of the league table aiming to gain more points and in need of more goals in the next few fixtures.
