The U16 boys played at home against Teddington. The boys had a terrific game winning 7-0. Teddington started with only 9 players and Crostyx took the advantage by starting the match with eagerness. The boys put a lot of pressure on the opposition and it proved to be a success as Vishal Mayo scored 3 goals, Jack Dempsey with 2 and 1 goal for Duncan Ramsbotham. Near the end of the first half Crostyx was starting to get tired and Teddington had 11 players on the pitch. However, the boys kept working together and succeeded by keeping the match a 6-0 in the first half.
During the team talk the coaches and boys were talking about keeping calm and making sure we keep up the communication between one another.
The Second half started and Crostyx had a few good opportunities but Teddington were picking up the pace and were eager for a goal. The boys however kept calm and were good in defense. Alfie Tedder and Harry Marshall playing both center backs were tackling well and were distributing the ball around to midfield and the forwards. At the last minute of the match Ashley O'Malley scored a great reverse stick goal in the bottom corner securing the match with ease and an all-round superb victory for the U16’s.
It was a great result for the team and gives a good confidence boost for all the boys.
