Crostyx continued their good form on Saturday bringing home the first points of the season against a lively Redbridge & Ilford side. Despite having 75% posession for the second successive weekend, Crostyx finally turned their possesion in to a well worked goal which involved five players exchanging passes into the D which was finished off by Pete Hough for his first game of the season. Despite searching for a second goal which would have put the game to bed careless possesion enabled Redbridge & Ilford back into the game. The away team were awarded a short corner just as the final whistle went and on the second retake the away team had their shot defelcted towrds the Crostyx goal where it was superbly turned round the post by their keeper Barney Teddler.
Final score 1-0 to Crostyx.
This was a wake up call for Crostyx who need to be more clinical infront of goal. This week Crostyx host top of the table and unbeaten Rochford at home 1.30pm start.
