Men's 2nd XI took on Wapping who were clear league leaders having won all their games this season.
A squad of 14 travelled to Lee Valley, and some tough early umpiring decisions led to Wapping taking a 1-0 lead. Crostyx however were beginning to put together long periods of attacking hockey, and a sweeping passing move eventually led to a goal by Tom Styles.
The half time talk centred around playing more attacking hockey, and running at pace at their defence. Freddie Marshall down the left caused many problems, and James Inch put in a man of the match performance troubling the left back every time he got the ball. A Tim Jolly deflection, followed by a short corner drag flick from Freddie Britt put Crostyx 3-1 up, and Styx were now comfortably running the game, causing Wapping players to try to influence the game through baiting the umpires. Tom Styles expertly converted his second, and Crostyx 4th, and despite a late consolation, Crostyx closed the game out expertly to complete a well deserved 4-2 win.
